Be respectful towards other players.

Our focus is on collaborative roleplay. This means harassment, bullying, or other coercive behavior will not be tolerated. Any IC disputes should remain IC. Any concerns you have with a player should be brought up to and communicated to them privately first, if possible, and these concerns should not include attempts to dictate or alter the other player's CR, plotting requests, or OOC boundaries. Miscommunication is the heart of most roleplay disputes, and we ask that you try to take things in good faith as much as you can.

If you have issues with a player or their behavior, please bring it to the mods directly. Information posted solely on anoncomms is outside of the scope of what we can moderate.

Should you have concerns with the mods or our decisions, we ask that you also bring those to us directly and privately via the mod contact. In general, you're free to post anything you wish to discuss with us to that page.

Be mindful of RP etiquette.

Be as IC as is reasonably possible. While characters will develop over the course of the game, they should remain recognizable as the character that was originally apped as well. Keep in mind that IC actions do lead to IC consequences. Infomodding and godmodding are not acceptable, nor is blurring the IC/OOC line in any way.

Avoid threading with yourself, and put content warnings that are applicable on your logs or threads. Ask before breaking the fourth wall for other players. Use your best judgment.

Warnings and misbehavior.

Bottlecap Bay will be handled on a two-strike system. A warning will be given to a player before they're removed from the game for misconduct.

As mods, we understand that miscommunication and accidents can happen, and don't want to unfairly punish players for a single misstep. However, we also want to be able to prevent repeated patterns of behavior from causing our players discomfort.

In extraordinary circumstances, we reserve the right to bypass the warning stage and outright remove a player if the issue is severe enough.

ADDENDUM: As the mods, we reserve the right to make alterations to the rules as needed for the health of the game. We do not anticipate broad changes will need to be made, and also do not expect them to be made without prior player feedback; however, we want to ensure this avenue is available to us should the circumstances warrant it.
