QUESTBOARD
⋆✩ quests ✩⋆
One of the core responsibilities of guild members within Bottlecap Bay is to complete quests from the Questboard. Located in the center of the city, the questboard is a physical board where Pokemon can submit requests for help, resources, exploration, and all sorts of things. Each quest rewards characters with points to not only increase their member ranking, but also raise the guild ranking, thereby having a direct effect on the direction of the game!
QUEST TYPES
LIGHT QUESTS
These quests are simpler, RNG-style quests that are far more straightforward and don't require a summary or a thread! Light quests are available every month, but during TDM months, they are the only type of quest available, meaning that nothing plot heavy or significant will be placed into the quests. They also typically reward 50 points to characters.
HEAVY QUESTS
Heavy quests are more intensive, thread-required quests that often hold bits of plot or more intrigue, and are only available every other month. They are also often more dangerous than light quests, and unlike light quests, are not guaranteed to be completed when submitting for them! Sometimes you can fail these heavy quests, and in that case, no points are rewarded. But depending on the results, these quests can reward anywhere from 100-300 points each!
ALL QUESTS
So what do all quests have in common? Difficulty levels, determined by the filled in stars on a scale of 1-3, with three filled stars being the most difficult. Difficulty can mean anything from physical danger to intensive puzzles, depending on the quest! All quests must also be submitted by the deadline date on the quest itself. Quests of both types can have different amounts of teams allowed to claim it, and the number of teams allowed will be listed per quest. Lastly, players can feel free to roleplay any of the NPCs that are not listed on the Locations page under the NPC section! If it's not game breaking or contradicting of anything in the information available to players, then we generally play by the "do what's most fun!" rules.

DIFFICULTY: ★★✩
THREAD REQUIRED?: Yes
DEADLINE: Must be submitted by AUGUST 30TH 11:59 EST.
Now that we have found the end of the forest, it is important we determine the safety of our surrounding areas from the yet to be built outpost. Having discovered three potential routes, we will need many dedicated teams to volunteer.
In particular, those traveling North should be aware of a marked increase in heat, and glimpses of ash soon after discovering the path.
Be sure to take note of as much as possible before turning back. Impossible things are afoot.
POINTS REWARDED: 300 points (200 points for failure)
EXTRA REWARDS?: Potential for plot information (if successful), risk of consequence (nothing to ever ruin your time in game)
NOTES: Please use the summary section to fill out how your characters approach this quest. A quick summary is fine! We just want a feel of the direction and group dynamic. We use a super-secret rubric to decide success/failure based on the summary, so be sure to include anything you feel is relevant - equipment, strategies, and any steps characters take to balance out their weaknesses will all be taken into account.

QUEST: Mad Moonlighter
SUMMARY: NOTE - This quest is being performed under the assumption that it follows after another Moonlight Madness bounty performed by Akira. We ask that this be kept in mind regarding the notes below!

Although the team sets out under the brilliant light of dawn for the middle section of the forest, they are quickly shrouded by darkness. Dense foliage surrounds them, but thick, seemingly living fog covers them even more thickly, carrying a threatening aroma of soil and decaying wood.
Despite the careful efforts of the team, their attempts to banish the fog with light is only somewhat successful. Shortly after their entry, Lusamine and Guilmon find the fog reaching out to them... reaching into them, in fact. Once the fog connects, symptoms that are now well documented arise — sensations of disembodiment and unfamiliarity, as well as amnesia manifest quickly, and it requires the full focus and communication of the others to draw the two back to reality.
By the time everyone has returned to their full senses, it appears that it's already become night time. Far above, visible even through the fog and trees, the full moon shines. Brilliant and bright, it's almost magical in its appearance — but Akira, who has experienced the beast who calls these woods home before, realizes just in time what they're actually looking at. Drawing the team out from danger before it's too late, a massive attack strikes the ground where they once stood. And in the place of the moon, now looms a shadow.
It is then that something reveals itself even more clearly through the fog surrounding this shadow. Gleaming scarlet, a smaller sized moon appears before them. The battle has already begun, and they're immediately on the back-foot; but they have found their target.
The Bloodmoon Beast! The great Ursaluna, empowered by age and brutality!
Despite catching many of them off guard, Akira's Yawn proves to give them a slight edge in their fight. Ursaluna attacks with weariness and exhaustion, made all the worse by constant battering from their attacks. With little choice, the Pokemon finally unleashes an enormous quake through the earth, scattering the ground of their arena. The resulting damage is too significant to easily pursue Ursaluna, and so the team is forced to turn back.
Though the beast escaped, the battle was a clear Success. In bringing the report of their fight back to Bottlecap Bay, a better understanding of a dire threat can be made. But is the threat even still out there? That Ursaluna was awfully injured by the end, after all...
The battle is won, but not completely finished! Toward the end of the month, we will be randomly choosing a single team to deal the final blow to the Ursaluna - that team will get to decide their ultimate fate. If that is your team, we will reply to this thread on JUNE 24th.
Please fill out the unique form below sometime before the June 24th deadline so that your quest can be considered completed. Please note that you have flexibility and freedom in threading this quest and any related NPCs (the Ursaluna, the senior rescue teams, and any hallucinated characters seen by the team).

Are there any injuries sustained? Describe them briefly:
- Akira at most sustains minor scrapes and bruises, though he is fairly tired out.
- Guilmon sustains the most 'elemental' injury, but as he focused on dodging, is well enough to make it back to the clinic.
- Emporio and Lusamine are fairly tired out, but similarly fine in that they mostly sustain scrapes and bruises thanks to the shifting terrain.
How do they handle the battle with Ursaluna?: Thanks to their noted preparations, they do quite well in this fight. Akira's knowledge combines well with Lusamine's natural tunneling ability, as she uses Protect as needed to shield the others present. Having overcome the fog on the way there, their greatest challenge is Ursaluna itself- one that is readily combated with the various super effective moves, as well as Akira's 'Yawn' move.
Do they gather anything from the forest to bring back, or leave it alone?: Akira will be bringing back some of the bones from these woods, intending to study Ursaluna's diet (and possibly other related matters).
Do they all make it out without rescue?: They do! In fact, Akira- potentially with Emporio assisting- is able to perform some basic first aid for the team members who need it, so they should be in relatively good health.
