QUESTBOARD
⋆✩ quests ✩⋆
One of the core responsibilities of guild members within Bottlecap Bay is to complete quests from the Questboard. Located in the center of the city, the questboard is a physical board where Pokemon can submit requests for help, resources, exploration, and all sorts of things. Each quest rewards characters with points to not only increase their member ranking, but also raise the guild ranking, thereby having a direct effect on the direction of the game!
QUEST TYPES
LIGHT QUESTS
These quests are simpler, RNG-style quests that are far more straightforward and don't require a summary or a thread! Light quests are available every month, but during TDM months, they are the only type of quest available, meaning that nothing plot heavy or significant will be placed into the quests. They also typically reward 50 points to characters.
HEAVY QUESTS
Heavy quests are more intensive, thread-required quests that often hold bits of plot or more intrigue, and are only available every other month. They are also often more dangerous than light quests, and unlike light quests, are not guaranteed to be completed when submitting for them! Sometimes you can fail these heavy quests, and in that case, no points are rewarded. But depending on the results, these quests can reward anywhere from 100-300 points each!
PLAYER QUESTS
These are quests submitted by other players, available as players come up with them. A player may submit a quest during any month, and may even post the same quest again on a subsequent month, when it makes sense ICly to do so. They are otherwise very similar to Light Quests; more information can be found below, but as a rule, they reward 50 points to characters.
ALL QUESTS
So what do all quests have in common? They must be submitted by the deadline date on the quest itself, and each character may claim points from a given quest only once, though they may repeat the quest with other teams as many times as they like.
Mod quests in particular will have difficulty levels, determined by the filled in stars on a scale of 1-3, with three filled stars being the most difficult. Difficulty can mean anything from physical danger to intensive puzzles, depending on the quest! Mod quests of both types may also sometimes have claim limits, with the number of teams allowed listed per quest.
Lastly, players can feel free to roleplay any of the NPCs that are not listed on the Locations page under the NPC section! If it's not game breaking or contradicting anything in the information available to players, then we generally play by the "do what's most fun!" rules.

PLAYER QUESTS
Player Quests are now open! These are quests ICly posted by your character to any of Bottlecap Bay's quest boards. They may be quests that are meant for the benefit of the city (or outlying outposts, or good relations with local Pokemon), or they may be quests for a character's personal concerns... and even joke quests are very welcome, for CR purposes!
(Just keep in mind IC reactions while devising a quest - guild leaders may choose not to reward points for "come perform a handstand for me," and there may be negative consequences for posting "assassinate my annoying guild coworker!")
Some general guidelines:
- To respond to a player quest, other players may use the same submission form as for mod quests; they do not have to provide a thread, but do have to fill out the summary.
- For all quests, quests may reward 50 points! Points track how helpful a character is overall, so they may be awarded for (reasonable, non-joke) personal quests as well!
- For quests for the benefit of Bottlecap Bay, guild leaders will generally also allow for item rewards from guild resources. These rewards should be restricted to a single item or type of item chosen by the quest-writing player, and can be one of: berries, basic stones, basic accessories (with no special effects), or small furniture items. A character may also offer handmade items that they are able to make/obtain the resources for.
- For personal quests, guild leaders will not allow for item rewards from guild resources... but a character may still offer handmade items that they are able to make/obtain the resources for!
- Characters who are ICly posting the quest obviously cannot join their own quest! However, at mod discretion, posting a quest may result in extra points in the next point tally, particularly if the quest is for the benefit of Bottlecap Bay - the guild leaders will reward someone looking out for the success of the city.
- Quests may not have limited entry slots.
- Quest-writing players will decide whether responses pass or fail. (They may choose to respond with a blurb with more flavor details, or just a note saying pass/fail.)
- Posted rewards will be fully awarded regardless of pass/fail. If a quest says the reward is 50 points and a berry, then even failing teams will get those rewards.
- It is fine for personal quests to have a biased pass/fail outcome for CR purposes, such as a designated team being pre-arranged to be the only one who succeeds. However, this must be made clear beforehand OOCly, and the above point must be followed.
- Players may decide whether their quest is worth 50 points or 0 points. We're trusting players to use their best judgement! (ICly, points are always awarded by the guild leaders, but will still be awarded for non-joke personal quests that take effort. For example: "My important item is missing, please help me search the woods" or "I want to make a feast to cheer up my friend but I don't know how to cook, please help.")
- If a player would like to have their character ICly post a problematic quest and receive consequences from their guild leader, please contact the mods on the mod contact beforehand! (This is for quests that would be viewed as actively harmful, rather than silly ones.)
- Players may not have their own characters, even their other character, submit for a quest that they posted.
SUBMISSION FORMAT
Please use the following format to set up a player quest!
If you would like, you may also use the following format when responding with quest results (but this is not required)!
QUEST SIGN-UP
To claim and sign up for a quest, simply fill out the form below and reply to the current month's thread for mod quests, or to the individual quest for player quests. All quests require at least 2 characters to complete, with no maximum unless specified. Keep in mind that for quests requiring threading, 3 is probably a good number. Multiple quests can be signed up for in one comment.
PLAYERS: Players involved.
CHARACTERS: Characters involved. (2 minimum)
QUEST: Name of the quest you're signing up for.
SUMMARY: (Optional for light, required for heavy or player quests.) How will the quest be tackled? Write a short summary of how the characters intend to succeed and include any relevant details (tensions within the team, particular skills or weaknesses, any relevant triggers to avoid, etc.)
After claiming a quest, a mod will reply with confirmation and/or more details, and may request more information on how the team tackles the quest. For quests that are limited in some way, players who manage a sign up one month will be required to wait for 24 hours after quest posting to sign up for a limited quest the following month.

CHARACTERS: Siffrin (ISAT), Siffrin (Start Again)
QUEST: Exploration: Yellow
SUMMARY: Two cats head off on an exploration quest to a new uncharted area!
Cons: huh, there sure is a strange tension in the air... wonder what that could be... don't worry about it! Neither of them are thinking about it so it's fine!! (Also, if anyone calls out their name, both are going to react and ISAT!frin's "Stardust" name is going to get real awkward real fast.)
Pros: both are used to exploration and scouting, though ISAT!frin might be a bit more rusty on the "outdoor" part. On the assumption that static = Electric types... neither of them are weak to Electric, and SA!frin is resistant to both the moves and paralysis! (And is large enough to carry ISAT!frin, if it really becomes necessary.) In addition, despite ostensibly being strangers, both are startlingly good at working together, both in combat and just generally in where they'd expect the other one to be/what they'd expect the other to do! It's eerily like they're practically the same person! How strange, definitely couldn't mean anything.
Misc: If it seems like it's going to rain right before they head out SA!frin will provide ISAT!frin their spare hat from a previous quest. (Please say it's going to rain)
PLAYERS: Andrea, Terry
CHARACTERS: Flowey, Siffrin (Start Again)
QUEST: Carts Before Charts
SUMMARY: While their tensions are definitely toned down since they went on the Dondozo quest together, Flowey and Siffrin still aren't... the best of friends. There WILL be catty comments. But at least there's no longer a risk of them trying to kill each other. Maybe this will even help them start getting along...? (We can hope...)
Otherwise: Siffrin is getting saddled with more of the actual physical carrying of objects during this quest. Flowey is just a little seed, tiny and helpless, you can't expect him to carry heavy rocks or logs! (He can, however, probably harness stuff up to Siffrin with his vines?)
PLAYERS: Sapphire, Terry
CHARACTERS: Archnemon, Siffrin (Start Again)
QUEST: Home On Arrange
SUMMARY: In part this is going to be Siffrin keeping an eye on Archnemon (what with Ribombee asking Cheris to check on her)! Since both of them are relatively small Pokemon and Archnemon recently had her awful second transformation, they're likely not doing any of the large scale construction. Rather, they'd be helping with carrying messages or tools around, handing tools out, and/or small scale construction (furniture, anything that needs someone small to squirm into a tight space, and so on).
Which means, in part this is also going to be Archnemon keeping an eye on Siffrin and their bad memory, if they're delivering a lot of messages at once... and it's really just unfortunate that her new Hatenna emotion-sensing powers are giving her headaches at the same time.
PLAYERS: Kibi, Terry
CHARACTERS: Shoka, Siffrin (Start Again)
QUEST: Home On Arrange
SUMMARY: These two are DEFINITELY ending up on furniture construction duty. They are building the IKEA beds and cafeteria tables and whatever it is the new Outpost needs. They are good-naturedly bickering about it. They possibly have enough fun that they blow through a good chunk, and only leave a handful of cursed constructions behind them. Fwends...

CHARACTERS: Shoka Sakurane, Noelle Holiday
QUEST: Play Nice
SUMMARY: Since Noelle is new to Bottlecap Bay, this will be her and Shoka's first time questing together, but they do have some experience working together as mentee and mentor and have formed a casual friendship. Relatively inexperienced in battle and possessing an amicable disposition, Noelle has a gentle, non-threatening presence that they hope will be ideal for negotiating with the Pokémon that have returned to their senses, while Shoka, as the more experienced battler with a less than charming outward personality, will be on battle duty, ready to combat any that want a fight first and defend Noelle if necessary.
Despite Shoka's love for battling, a botched mentorship during the last TDM that left a new arrival badly injured has her feeling unnerved by her own form and abilities, which could lead to her holding back too much or getting distracted in battle. The one circumstance in which Noelle won't hesitate to fight is when someone she cares about needs defending, so in such a case, she will step in to battle herself to protect Shoka.
Similarly, though Shoka doesn't think of herself as charismatic or well-spoken, she is perceptive, a frank speaker, and knows firsthand how accepting and welcoming the Pokémon of Bottlecap Bay can be. Though she'll go into the quest expecting only to battle, this is a perspective she can bring to the conversation for new Pokémon who are open to recruitment.

CHARACTERS: Flowey, Bigby, Courier Six (Perrin)
QUEST: Exploration: Yellow
SUMMARY:
All three team members are on good terms. Bigby currently thinks of Flowey as a bit of a crybaby due to how they met, but he will be surprised by Flowey's ruthlessness in battle against enemies they encounter. Perrin also quite enjoys them - seeing kindred spirits, and so won't begrudge them for not being as experienced in exploration as him. If Bigby runs out of food, there's potential for strife in the team as he gets hangry, but he did learn his lesson during his last Bounty quest.
Flowey and Bigby resist Electric types, and Bigby is immune to paralysis. Bigby will be relying on his non-Electric type moves in combat. Perrin can fly as Dragonite, so he can survey the area from above and carry the other two team members if needed (since they're both small).
Flowey has been working on learning a new move: Bullet Seed (he's quite fond of 'seed' type moves, such as Leech Seed and Worry Seed). If Perrin happens to be carrying him, he could rain down Bullet Seed and Leech Seed attacks on enemies from above while hopefully staying out of harms way. Bigby knows Seed Bomb, so he may be able to help Flowey learn the attack and attack at range as well.
Bigby is familiar with the Middle Forest, so if the path is similar enough, he'll be helpful with navigation. Additionally, he's good in general at tracking and navigating through forests. Bigby will bring lots of food and seeds to avoid running out and being forced into hangry mode.
Perrin is not as familiar with the Middle Forest, but he is familiar with keeping a path after his exploration into the Southern Forest, as well as experiences back home. As a man who's used to static and electricity, as well, he will know when it gets too much and any signs of electrical strikes. He's also finally been learning how to fly - and, again, will be carrying the others if needed.
Also, Flowey will try to bring Cheri Berries to cure him and Perrin of paralysis if it occurs.

CHARACTERS: Akechi, Emporio, Akira
QUEST: EXPLORATION: RED
SUMMARY: Knowing the dangers inherent to the Northern Forest, Akechi will be coming fully prepared with Safety Goggles to ward off unwantedd status ailments, a satchel full of assorted berries and a few Blast Seeds to use in an emergency, and intent to act cautiously. That means giving the team a Tailwind boost to maintain momentum, as well as utilizing debuffing moves like Scary Face in a pinch and especially against powerful foes. He'll periodically use Hone Claws as they move through the forest in case Power Trip becomes a necessity and Spite against particularly nasty moves. He can heal with Roost and has been practicing U-Turn for pivoting with teammates, and has an assortment of offensive moves like Air Slash and Drill Peck.
In terms of team synergy, he has a positive rapport with both Emporio and Akira, so there shouldn't be too many disagreements to speak of.
Emporio has the advantage of ground typing coupled with his intelligence. While his only ground move currently is Bonemarang, he's really adept at using Fling to throw objects, including rocks, in addition to Secret Power, though its effects under these conditions remain to be seen.
While Akira lacks the experience of the other two, he does have water typing and the move Water Gun to cool off dangerous terrain and use as an offensive move, in addition to the move Chilly Reception. This could potentially aid the party by setting up a snowstorm to keep things cool. In addition, Akira knows the move Nasty Plot, as well as Power Gem. We've also discussed the idea of him learning Scald in the hot environment, giving him a more efficient water type move to use in battle.
With Akira's medical experience, he should also be able to aid the party on the fly, reducing the need for heading straight to the clinic in case of injuries.

CHARACTERS: Emporio, Noelle
QUEST: Home on Arrange
SUMMARY: Emporio has only recently met Noelle, so they don't really know the other! Still, helping with city planning seems like a great way to get to know one another, and also learn about Pokemon daily life. They're hard workers, and Emporio is a good guide, so they should be able to get some good work done!
PLAYERS: Usagi, Mauyn, Kibi
CHARACTERS: Emporio, Chara, Shoka
QUEST: Flower Showers
SUMMARY: Emporio is wearing Chara as a hat. It's fine they prefer it this way. But, worst comes to it they can properly manifest to try helping. Their best help is commentary and advice though!!
Shoka meanwhile is here to bring her usual ghosty spookness to the table, while Emporio primarily throws a lot of rocks. Though, if a Steel Wormadam shows, he might be able to show off Bonemerang!

CHARACTERS: Flowey, Akechi, Siffrin 2
QUEST: Flower Showers
SUMMARY: Flowey wanted to approach this one with cunning; he thinks that if they set up great traps, they won't even need to fight directly!
First, Flowey and Akechi both have friends in the Lum Berries guild (Emporio, Perrin, and others) who can let them into the Archives if needed. That, combined with the ability to interview the workers who were attacked by Wormadam and Panpour, would allow them to do research ahead of time and learn who their enemies are and what their weaknesses may be.
Flowey's plan is this: Siffrin will disguise himself as a worker at the new outpost and serve as the 'bait' (Flowey does his best to convince Siffrin he won't allow anything to happen to them). Siffrin will attempt to lure Panpour into a pitfall trap that the team will dig ahead of time. Once Panpour is stuck down there, the team can apprehend the Pokemon. If they need to battle it, Flowey has super-effective Grass-type moves, including Leech Seed which can be used from afar.
As for Wormadam, Flowey learned that this Pokemon will disguise itself using a 'plant cloak' and may be in the nearby trees. It will be Akechi's job to keep watch of Siffrin from the sky and swoop in with a 4x supereffective Flying-type attack when Wormadam shows itself. Flowey & Siffrin can back up Akechi as needed. However, Wormadam may be a dangerous foe for them because of its Bug-type attacks. Flowey suggests they bring items (Oran Berries, Blast Seeds...?) to back them up. Every plan can go haywire, after all.
On the social side of this quest, Flowey & Akechi want to use this as an opportunity to update one another on their suspicions regarding Ribombee's shadiness. Siffrin 2 has been dragged into it somehow and may or may not be privy to this.

CHARACTERS: A.B.A, Shoka, and Firoza
QUEST: EXPLORATION: BLUE
SUMMARY: We have three strong girls who actually work really well together here! But will the power of friendship be enough??? If not, good news, everyone has experience.
Firoza, especially, will be a huge help here. Having already travelled horrible snowy climates before in canon, she can wayfind in areas that look the same to keep the team from getting lost. Most importantly, Firoza knows how to be prepared by bringing blankets and cloaks made of fabric donated by Emmet, keeping everyone toasty warm. As well as snacks. Plenty of snacks. Firoza is obviously also a very capable fighter and armed with plenty of poison abilities and moves, as well as helping hand to support teammates.
Shoka may not consider herself particularly useful for this type of mission, but joke's on her, her previous experience means she's much more prepared. In this case, she's bringing oran berries. As a ghost, she's also not bothered by cold as much as fleshy Pokémon. Shoka's Disguise ability is her greatest gift, allowing to safely take one giant blow for the team should something especially dangerous happen. She also carries double team and draining kiss, which will help out against any aggressive Pokémon.
Like Firoza, A.B.A is used to traveling all sorts of terrain on foot. Her large size compared to her companions also means she can carry them around, allowing them to save their energy or escape altogether, as well as carry more supplies. As a large, heavy hitting Pokémon, A.B.A likes to use her iron head as an axe and can use this to destroy obstacles, as well as use it against aggressive ice-types for super effective damage. If things get risky, she's also armed with parting shot to help escape scarier threats, while weakening them in the process.
Everyone is pretty used to adventuring by now and has some experience under their belt! It's possible the vastly different terrain may make their past experience in the forest a little less useful, but they're clever girls. I believe in them.

CHARACTERS: Laios, Emmet
QUEST: Play Nice
SUMMARY: Laios... doesn't like ghost types! So probably they will head out towards the Middle Forest to look for new recruits because north and south are both out; the plentiful grass types of the Northern Forest may prove a bit more tiring given that Electric hits them for not very effective damage. Having prior familiarity with the Middle Forest probably helps, even if the worst of the hazards are probably mostly gone by now with the fog lifting — and if not, there's always the Eye of the Storm that Emmet knows how to find.
Laios and Emmet get along well! So at least there will be no weirdly tense vibes coming off of them there. They will be friendly! ... But also, they are sort of them. Laios is lacking in certain social graces, Emmet is too, and both of them can come off way too strong or intense about certain things even if the overall sentiment is just :D? =D!!!? Hopefully they don't scare anyone away like that, oops, just match their energy it'll be fine prommie, if the bay accepts these two just fine then surely whoever they run into—
Honestly, if the Pokemon wants a fight first, Emmet is so down. Even if the fight ends up being a Monster House okay maybe he'd feel a little bad for dragging Laios into it but let's be real they'd both be fine with it surely.

PLAYERS: Mega and Pyra
CHARACTERS: Akechi and Anasui
QUEST: Carts before Charts
SUMMARY: With Akechi's leadership skills and Anasui being a huge ostrich, these two shouldn't have any problems with transport and construction. They also don't actively hate each other, so that does help with completing the quest...
PLAYERS: Terry and Pyra
CHARACTERS: Siffrin (1) and Anasui
QUEST: Flower Showers
SUMMARY: Although Anasui may have some problems with the type disadvantage against the Wormadam's bug moves, he has plenty of Flying moves to fend off Wormadam and does neutral damage to the Panpour. CHARACTERS: Archnemon, Bigby
QUEST: Flower Showers
SUMMARY: Bigby signs up for this quest with newcomer Hatenna… only to find out she’s the same Spinarak of his campfire nightmares. When will he find Peace.
Bigby can make quick work of the Panpour with his Electric moves, but they’re in for a treat against Wormadam’s Bug typing. Both are (un)fortunately too stubborn to back down easily though. Archnemon at least had the foresight to gather some intel on what they’d be up against, and while Bigby might get flustered by her trolling, he also knows after their first encounter that she’s clever enough to come up with solid strategies. He will listen! Just this once!
Also, given Archnemon’s dealing with the aftereffects of another transformation, Bigby will likely stick on the frontlines to keep her from getting too hurt in the scuffle, but it’s fine. He needs his monthly clinic visit anyway.

CHARACTERS: Ingo, Emmet
QUEST: Exploration: Blue
SUMMARY: A drop in temperatures and glimpses of snow point to an environment that a fire type adapted to cold regions and a species whose more-or-less native habitat is the Icelands would probably be best suited for! So, might as well send some of the local thicker-furred Hisuian variants down south to where it looks to be getting real cold, real quickly. At least one of the two present (Ingo. it's Ingo.) is pretty used to the conditions likely to be found in potential high elevation areas and navigating and surviving snowy-to-blizzard weather, considering the climate found in the northern end of Hisui-Sinnoh where the Pearl Clan settlement is. Plus having a living space heater present can't be a bad thing when one is venturing into such regions, right?
That said, Emmet does not quite have the same wealth of experience to draw on outside of previous general familiarity with outdoor/wilderness travel and exploration (though somewhat rusty in comparison, but now actively being refreshed on a regular basis given the previous half-year or so with the guilds) and Pokemon, so he's going to be taking a back seat on this one and letting Ingo play wilderness guide. Not that he minds, given both their close relation and the fact that there's significantly less awkwardness between them after developments pertaining to various events previous, not the least of which being what happened on their previous exploration into Middle Forest.
Speaking of, given previous experiences when it comes to setting forth into unknown territory together, they're likely to err on the side of caution if anything comes up. Which is probably prudent with the weather/environmental conditions they're likely to be facing. They'll probably have packed enough supplies and rations for a decent length trip, just in case conditions take a turn for the worse and they have to hole up somewhere to wait things out or something. This includes healing berries like oran and sitrus berries ... and also aspear berries, just in case. But in any case, given their previous experiences over the past several months, they should be pretty used to exploration and scouting by now.
Anyway, if hostile Ice-types prove to be a salient threat then the plan is as follows: apply more fire. At least neither of them has a weakness to it? Ingo will be significantly more useful on this front than Emmet, being a Fire type and all, but Emmet does have pretty good mobility and the ability to use Will-o-Wisp for at least a few flames of his own, as well as disruptive tactics like Snarl to help blunt the edges of any special attacks. And if other types should prove to be a relevant hazard, they'll adjust as needed.

CHARACTERS: Archnemon, Guilmon
QUEST: Carts Before Charts
SUMMARY: Slightly more menial than Archnemon prefers, but her goal is to keep busy to deal with her adjusting to her sudden change in form... and it probably is a good way for fellow Cheri guild member Guilmon to keep an eye on her, especially once he becomes aware that she had been the spinarak he was becoming acquainted with before. They had occasionally 'coordinated' previously, so Archnemon has some knowledge of Guilmon's strengths, enough to assist with navigating, supervising and making sure he doesn't try to gather too much more than he can carry in trying to show off. It will give her a chance to test her own strengths too, but Guilmon's larger size will definitely be what enables them to carry more for the task at hand.

In terms of natural advantages, Guilmon is a fire-type and has his own internal warmth. Umemiya also has a resistance to the cold as a partial steel type. While not sporting type-advantages or weaknesses, Anasui has lots of thick, fluffy feathers which should keep the chill off himself.
Anasui is generally alert and will mostly be quiet and observing his surroundings. Being familiar with the South Forest and quite analytical, he'll be able to note anything strange or interesting in the surroundings. Additionally, Umemiya has the aura-sensing abilities Lucario have. He's getting used to it but he will alert his team of negative emotions or dangerous presences in advance. Furthermore, Guilmon's tail can work as a beacon and he's also got a sharp sense of smell, which may be useful
Given that the quest involves a drop in temperature, Anasui will be bringing scarves for everyone from his various escapades (both rewards and stuff he's just taken on a whim) and some Aspear berries in the off-chance the snow becomes a storm and someone gets frozen. As a chocobo-shaped creature, he'll also offer rides to Umemiya and Guilmon so they don't lose each other and they can stay close together for warmth. Anasui also has his hat that strengthens him whenever he's protecting his allies, and while this mostly applies for fights (which he will defend the others as much as he can), it may help strengthen him when protecting him from the cold (and even if it doesn't, maybe the belief will help anyway).

CHARACTERS: Akechi, Ren, Ingo
QUEST: Play Nice
SUMMARY: Although Ren has only recently recovered from his coma, he's eager to get back into the swing of things with missions! Reaching out to others and making connections is Ren's strong suit, so this quest is a no brainer in his eyes. However, Akechi refused to let Ren go without heavy supervision, so he's enlisted Ingo's help to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
Ren will be primarily providing support, both in terms of trying to convince newcomers to join Bottlecap Bay, but also in battle. Thankfully, he has solid skills such as Leech Seed to help if it comes to blows, not to mention his Protean ability for added strategic benefits. Akechi has a versatile moveset with strong debuff options like Scary Face and Leer, in addition to Tailwind to keep the team moving swiftly, Hone Claws to strengthen himself, and Roost to heal.
Ingo's ghost and fire typing provide essential coverage, and his experience in battle in addition to being fully evolved should come in handy as well. All three of them have a positive rapport with each other, and Ingo has been concerned about Ren since his coma.
Akechi's strategic mind should help in battle as well as potentially negotiations, but he'll be letting Ren lead the conversation, as he's got genuine charisma and a healthier sense of empathy than Akechi (though he is working on it, and he does have his experience as a celebrity/idol to draw from if he must). Moreover, Ingo is willing to lend his expertise on Pokémon behavior (if it's a species he knows) and encourage the kids to high tail it out of there if things get too dicey.

CHARACTERS: Anasui, Guilmon and Emporio
QUEST: Play Nice
SUMMARY: Anasui absolutely hates this. As someone who loathes socialising, he will be lurking in the back of the group, glaring at strangers and generally waiting for shit to go down. However, he won't actively prevent Emporio and Guilmon from making friends and playing nice (simply put, Anasui's playing bodyguard). Anasui will voice his opinions to the others but will defer most decision-making to Emporio and Guilmon, figuring they're competent enough.
Emporio will, of course, try to keep things from devolving into the kind of fight Anasui expects, but if it happens, he supposes it happens. Primarily, he's hopeful of being able to talk things through...but, realistically understands that with the team he has, violence is probably going to be the answer. However, Guilmon is extremely friendly and eager to help, and he'll prioritize sharing how fun the guilds are and all the tasty treats that are there (especially bread, because of course.)
Emporio will keep his helmet on, partially for protection and partially for comfort. He's naturally very kind and approachable, has that 'lil lost boy' aura to him. Guilmon's cute and doofy and... Anasui will try appear as neutral, we suppose.
Anasui will roll his eyes if Pokemon want to fight first, in spite wanting to work with them, but he will volunteer to fight them. He'll warn them that he'll go all out, but actually will try to actively not kill them. If the fight is not agreed upon and their group are jumped first, Anasui will fight a lot more brutally, though he'll listen and not deliver a fatal blow if his team tries to stop him.
TLDR: Two friendly, sociable babies do their best to complete the quest while the big bird hovers behind them menacingly...

CHARACTERS: Archnemon, Ingo
QUEST: HOME ON ARRANGE
SUMMARY: Signs up with Ingo for more outpost arranging, as Archnemon is still looking to keep herself busy for... reasons... while adjusting and it helps that Ingo is another person familiar with her previous form. This means they will have some existing rapport once he figures that out, so they should be able to coordinate to get things done between their skillsets.

CHARACTERS: Firoza, Laios
QUEST: Flower Showers
SUMMARY: The adventurer duo is back at it again, ready to defend against an onslaught of wild Pokemon. Not only are they both comfortable fighting on the frontlines, but at this point, they’re also very compatible when it comes to working together. Truly no better co-tanks you can ask for in times like these!
Adding to that, Laios would have likely done some research in the Archives based on the questboard posting. While Panpour might be a non-issue (unless there may be other elemental monkeys in the fray...), he’ll likely learn that Wormadam have multiple variants as part of their preparations. Laios and Firoza have an advantage against Steel and Grass respectively, but both are weak to Ground, resulting some possible vulnerability. They’ll stock up on extra Oran berries if they can, but with enough determination and experience, they should be able to pull through just fine.
PLAYERS: Mega, Bre
CHARACTERS: Akechi, Laios
QUEST: Home on Arrange
SUMMARY: What better time talk nerdy than while on a quest? With so much happening this month, Akechi and Laios are teaming up and catching up on all things exploration. Of course, that won’t mean they won’t be productive while swapping notes. As the larger of the two, Laios will be lugging and holding up any of the larger materials, while Akechi can do some finessing on the smaller bits and bobs that need to go together. They’re a resourceful building crew! Who even needs hands!

CHARACTERS: Emporio, Archnemon
QUEST: Exploration: Red
SUMMARY: While Emporio is something of a Quest Veteran at this point (And has in particular explored the region being visited now), Archnemon has only taken on Light Quests thus far. However, she has handled sudden surprises from these quests relatively well, and as she likes to be productive, volunteered for an exploration. Emporio would have joined her at the Quest Board, recognizing Archnemon from interactions over the pearl. Notably, they'll be taking an NPC with them.
Both Emporio and Archnemon are fairly intelligent, and very observant. Emporio in particular will offer his prior knowledge to her without hesitation, which should make their combined teamwork more effective as a result. He would note that the region seems more hospitable to his species when offering to form a team as well. Emporio would also confirm that type disadvantages aren't likely- however, the NPC they bring is probably to make up for a lack of natural defenses.
Speaking of defenses, extra water will be packed, and Emporio would suggest cloth masks for their faces. Last time he was there, there was a huge ash and dust storm!! (And as for the water, heat just means dehydration is a real risk in his books.)
Archnemon may joke about him rushing in to stop the loop of overworking. Emporio will probably get a bit flustered about it.

CHARACTERS: the Ring-Spirit, Emmet
QUEST: Home On Arrange
SUMMARY: Emmet will mostly be taking it easy after his exploration, but that doesn't mean he won't pitch in while he's at the outpost/camp. He's methodical and good at putting things together, though as a larger pokemon he may be wanted for hauling things. RS meanwhile is primarily focused on keeping his Spiritomb friend from causing the other workers too much trouble - but he also has experience putting together tabletop rpg dioramas, and is small enough to fit into crevices, so he'll pitch in whenever detail work is needed. Both are just trying to help out how they best can.

CHARACTERS: Flamebringer, Sanji
QUEST: EXPLORATION: Red
SUMMARY:
Sanji and Flamebringer have worked together before during Moby Dozo, so they know the other can be a reliable partner when going out on an excursion.
Flamebringer had an affinity for fire back home- So he’s curious about this area. It also reminds him of his birth nation of Kazdel. Sanji is also familiar with fire, also having an affinity for it back home- but he has the extra bonus as a pokemon of having the ability flash fire, which will allow him to completely ignore any fire based attacks or anamolies. Once again Flamebringer’s innate abilities as an Absol also gives them a form of prior warning if disaster tries to befall them.
Sanji takes the lead, that way he can take advantage of flash fire, while Flamebringer takes the rear. If they fight a fire type, Flamebringer lets Sanji take the lead- but if they fight any other kind of pokemon, Flamebringer will defend Sanji and pull him out of harms way. Sanji made sure both of them had plenty of food in their supplies. And he gave a little extra to Flamebringer since he’s the larger pokemon- but Flamebringer still remains mostly unburdened.
Sanji will be primarily looking for things that can serve as food sources- as well as anything that might be treacherous. He’s also investigating the ash they see. His size allows him to investigate crevices and spaces that Flamebringer can’t, and they take advantage of this.
Flamebringer is primarily keeping an eye out for anything that might be a threat. Dangers that might descend the mountain and harm those back at the camping area. He’s also trying to assess the stability of this area- whether he’ll need to report it as being uninhabitable, and better to be avoided. The ash in the sky is concerning… He helps Sanji occasionally by picking him up and lifting him to higher places.
However partway through the expedition- the two get into a fight, Sanji is eager to discuss the mind-sharing the two of them experienced a while back- while Flamebringer is the opposite. They argue and are eventually left at a stand still with each other… and split up for a while. They do find each other again before finally leaving the mountainside. (We are 100% okay with being given bad consequences for the split up.)
